The "Grand Site des deux Caps"
The "Grand Site des Deux Caps" has been awarded
the official "Grands Sites De France" labels
After receiving the acceptation from the ‘Commission Supérieure des Sites’ (higher Committee for Sites), the site des Deux Caps has now joined the Grands Sites de France, along with the ‘Baie du Mont St Michel’, ‘le Cirque de Navacelles’, ‘la Cité De Carcassonne’, ‘la Dune du Pilat’ or ‘les Gorges du Verdon to name only the most emblematic of them.
Together with the ‘Baie de Somme’, the Site des Deux Caps is the only Grand Site de France in the North of France.
With its 23km of coast, its steep cliffs and its astounding landscape, the Grand Site des Deux Caps attracts each year over two millions of visitors, a number that the Conseil Général du Pas de Calais has endeavoured to control, just as it monitors the preservation of the flora and fauna. In obtaining the label, these efforts , and of course the amazing beauty of the coast, have been amply rewarded
