Located in natural surroundings near the natural site of Le Fort-Vert, this leisure centre enables you to discover the coast and practice its most typical sport: land sailing. The club is open to everyone: private individuals, schools, works councils or summer camps (for which a youth camp site is available). Its activities are centred around land sailing, but you can also learn archery, go on a mountain-bike tour or even try out miniature golf.

There are twenty-eight land yachts for children and some thirty for all others who wish to learn this sport, whatever their age. Each initiation session takes two hours.

A theoretical lesson of 15 minutes will introduce you to the equipment: how to rig the mast, how to set the sail and, most importantly, how to harness the wind.

Before starting, make sure that you wear trousers, a good pair of shoes, water-resistant clothing (e.g. K-way), goggles to protect your eyes from sand, and protective gloves. You are finally ready to start, cut through the air, shoot through space and enjoy yourself immensely...
If the wind is right you can reach 50 km/h.

Land sailing initiation with qualified instructors (2 hours)

The land sailing club and leisure centre of the "Communauté" is certified by the French Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, and the Ministry of National Education, and is affiliated to the French Land Sailing Federation. The leisure centre is labelled "Centre de Char à Voile" (land sailing centre). The fleet of land yachts is adapted to the age and build of drivers.

The activity requires advance booking. If need be, leave a message on the answering machine stating your telephone number. The instructors will call you back.

(*) when the activity is possible. Outside these weeks, the activity is not possible due to the tides.
