The village of Saint-Joseph

Le Village Saint-Joseph

The village of St Joseph, on the outskirts of Calais, is an open-air museum  meticulously reconstructed by a family of artisan carpenters. A stroll through the village will lead you to a school, a smithy, a windmill, a baker’s shop, a tavern, a sawmill, a chapel, etc. In short, a village from the 1900s was completely reconstructed with original materials and tools.

  • The village is open:
on Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday until mid-November (from mid-November to 1 February it is only open during the weekend).
